Advanced Performance Cycling (APC) Classes

Classes are currently offered Tue & Fri 6-7 a.m. and Tue Evening 7:15 – 8:15 p.m. at Main Line Cycles (but check for Seasonal changes). If you’ve never used a CompuTrainer before, please arrive 30-45min early in order to set up prior to class start times. Spaces are limited; therefore, for Reservations, go to the APC Classes Page to Register.

First time class package has a one-time $20 fee for CompuTrainer Skewer & Cadence Magnet also applies.

REFUND POLICY: Without extenuating circumstances, no refunds will be honored if you either miss your appointment or do not use within 1 Calendar Year. Todd Parker offers personal training sessions in the following areas:  Strength Training, Bike Rides, Swim Analysis/Workouts, Running Sessions on the Track (biomechanical assessments, pacing), Transition Area setup and training, Normal or Rehabilitative – PNF Stretching & Flexibility, Strength, and Bodyweight Workouts.

Unless there are extenuating circumstances, 5 Session Packages must be completed within 2 months, 10 Session Packages within 4 months, 20 Session Packages within 8 months, and 50 Session Packages within 18 months.

5 SESSION PACKAGE

1 Hour for each session. Breaks down to $95 for each session.  Remember, you’re hiring one of the most educated, experienced, and renowned Trainers in the United States.

Personal Cycling Field Testing

FIELD TESTING INFO

The test is comprised of a coach led orientation and warm-up, followed by a 20min time-trial test, which translates to: “as hard as you can sustain for 20 minutes.”  This test is to confirm your functional (lactate) threshold power.  From this test, you will receive a laminated 8 Training Zone Card, which will focus your training, as well as allow you and your coach to monitor intensity, progress, and recovery level.  The test will be performed on your road or tri bike (27″ or 26″ wheels), on a CompuTrainer Lab Trainer, and instructed and performed by Todd himself.

Upon purchasing, you will receive a written description on how to approach and execute your field test.  Please ensure that your proper email address is submitted during the payment process.  **Without extenuating circumstances, missed appointments will not be refunded or re-scheduled.**

Pro Bike Fitting Information & Expectations

A personalized bike fitting normally lasts 2-3 hours and consists of the following:

–  All current bike measurements

–  Body information such as height, weight, inseam, shoulder width…

–  Current cleat positioning, wear, adjustments and shimming as necessary

–  Hamstring, Hip Flexor, and Shoulder Girdle flexibility

–  Range of motion assessments

–  Measurement for Varus or Valgus angles of the Ankle Joint (affecting the feet)

–  Assessments for Leg length discrepancies

–  Assessments for other structural or functional irregularities

–  Saddle wear, level range (level, nose up, nose down), setback…

–  Leg Angles

–  Knee Position Reference to Pedal Axle/Spindle

Commonly known as “knee over pedal spindle” (KOPS)

–  And lots and lots of pedaling observations – so be prepared to pedal!

–  Position changes as necessary/desired

(cleats, saddle height, saddle fore/aft, stem length…)

–  Recording of all changes of new position

Note:  Ensure you bring your cycling shoes, cycling/tri shorts, and either cycling jersey, tri singlet, or form fitting shirt (no excessively large tee-shirts please).  A water bottle is also recommended.
